Introduction
WHO am I?
I am a creative professional who is currently a producer in marketing automation (official title: Marketing Automation Specialist) in the education industry.
What is my HISTORY?
In 2000, I received my bachelor's in Art and Design from Columbia College Chicago. During the early years of my career, I've held short contract and freelance jobs as Graphic Designer for Motorola, Hedstrom and CCH Inc. In 2002, I acquired a position as Designer/Developer in a private agency working on direct marketing projects for Bosch, Barton Liquors, Tootsie Toys, various trade shows, etc. In 2004, I briefly worked as an art director for a small telecommunication company and in 2005 I joined McDougal Littell, a division of Houghton Mifflin, now called Houghton Mifflin Harcourt (HMH). Within HMH, I have held several positions starting with Designer Developer for McDougal Littell, Designer for HMH marketing, Designer Developer with the creative development group and finally Marketing Automation Specialist within Channel Marketing.
What is my CREATIVITY?
It is my ability to identify marketing needs or issues and develop solutions utilizing original ideas or refine existing ideas to foster positive results. It is the creative skills that I have accumulated over the past two decades that I can apply to campaigns in order to promote marketing success. It is my versatility that helps me conform to multiple roles from production to creative development, supported by my knowledge in variety of mediums and tools.
What are my ACHIEVEMENTS?
Some of my notable achievements are:
- Part of a winning team as the Designer for Motorola Smart Briefs which were proposals for multi-million dollar contracts for Motorola Smart Card systems for public transportation in Canada and Asia
- Helped to win the W.H.Leary account for print brochures and website with design concepts and wire-frame for the website
- Brought direct marketing in house for Premier Telecom's retail and wholesale locations
- Designed, developed and maintained the McDougal Littell home site
- Developed wire-frame and prototype for ClassZone site
- Participated in user research and development of current HMH email templates
- Participated in the development of HMH marketing automation brand and design guides
